Q: I get a message "HansVision DXT requires your regional language settings to be English (United States), please go to Control Panel to change the setting before continue with installation" when installing in Windows 98/ME, what shall I do?
A:
For Windows 98/ME, HansVision DXT and HansWare require your regional language settings to be English (United States).
To check if your settings are correct, kindly refer to the following steps:
1) Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2) Double-click on Regional Settings.
3) If your selection is not English (United States), kindly click on the down arrow and make the appropriate selection.
4) Click OK and you'll be prompted to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Q: I get a message " HansVision DXT requires WinXP /Win2000 CD to install i386..." "when installing in Windows 2000/XP, what shall I do?
A:
If computer vendor did not help you to install East Asian Language Pack, the system may prompt you to insert Windows CD in order to install East Asian Language Pack if you are using Windows 2000 or XP. All you need is to insert Windows CD into computer CD-ROM, click on "ok" button. The system will automatically install the language pack from the CD to your computer.
Q: I get a message "Detected old version of HansVision, pls remove ... when installing in Windows 98/ME, what shall I do?
A:
Before installing HansVision DXT 2005, please make sure you have already uninstall the previous version of HansVision software. Kindly refer to the following steps:
1) Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2) Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
3) From the list of programs, locate HansVision DXT
4) Click on Add/Remove, and click "yes" when prompted if you want to completely remove the programs.
5) After restart your computer, pls install the HansVision DXT again.
Q: I have already checked all the settings mentioned in the previous question, but I still cannot install. Why?
A:
To clean up the residual file from the previous installation, kindly download a utility tool and follow the instructions below:
1) Download the utility HansTool 2008.exe, click on Save when prompted.
(Just save the file into a local directory such as My Documents folder)
2) From My Computer or Windows Explorer, go to the directory (e.g. My Documents folder) where you save the file.
3) Double-click on HansTool.exe to activate the program.
4) Select HansVision DXT to remove (e.g. Deluxe, Student...)
5) Select Hansware to remove
6) By now, you can continue to install HansVision DXT 2005
