Q: I'm unable to input Chinese, as the hanyu pinyin is displayed in my documents instead of the input bar, what shall I do?
A:
If you observe that the hanyu pinyin you input appeared in UPPER CASE on your document instead of the input bar, just TURN OFF Caps Lock and retry.
Q: I get the following message "PJS32.DLL has caused a general protection fault in module SIS540M.DRV..." or "PJS32.DLL has caused a general protection fault in module SIS630M.DRV..." when I try to input hanyu pinyin, what shall I do?
A:
The above affects IBM Aptiva desktops with integrated SIS video card. To resolve your problem, please download the latest video driver from the following IBM support site, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the new video driver.
Before downloading, you need to know the following hardware model:
1) Your integrated SIS video card model
(Right-click on your desktop, select Properties. Click on Settings tab, and locate under Display: SISxxx, where xxx can be 530,540,630 etc)
2) Go to SIS support & download site (www.sis.com) to download & install the latest video driver.
Q: How do I activate "Hans TTS" & "HansTools" in HansVision DXT, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer?
A:
Basically, the system will automatically add in "Hans TTS" & "HansTools" in above mentioned soft wares. If not, pls check the following settings:
1) Open HansWare 2005
2) Click "Option" from HansWare's Toolbar, select "Advanced Settings"
3) Select "Plug in". Choose the softwares that needed to add in "Hans TTS" & "HansTools"
Q: How do I remove the "HansTTS" & "HansTools" toolbars from Microsoft Word?
A:
1) Open Microsoft Word
2) Double click "View" from Menu Bar. Select "Toolbars"
3) Deselect "Add Speech" toolbars if you need to remove "HansTTS"
4) Deselect "Add PinYin" toolbars you need to remove "HansTools"
Q: Fail to do online registration in HansVision DXT Student / Deluxe edition.
A:
1) Please open the Norton Internet Security program
2) Go to Start -> programs-> Norton Internet Security
3) Temporally Turn Off (1) Security (2) Personal Firewall
4) You can do the online registration now
5) You can Turn On (1) Security (2) Personal Firewall after successfully online registration
